Choir Residency

Since 2002, Mercury Baroque has made school outreach a major component of its mission, and reached more than 3,000 children in the Houston area each year.  As a major component of this outreach program, our Choir Program represents a collaborative effort with five different HISD schools: Burnet Elementary, Farias Early Childhood Center, Ninfa Lorenzo Early Childhood Center, Gabriela Mistral Early Childhood Center, and Shearn Elementary.

Cullen Theater Performance

On February 15, 2008, Mercury Baroque will present a program Vivaldi and Venice at the Wortham Center’s Cullen Theater for approximately 1,000 elementary school students. A Vivaldi and Venice is a Mercury Baroque initiative that provides an interactive concert performance for Houston’s children. The goal of this initiative is to provide children with quality arts programming while educating them through music in a creative way. SOLD OUT!
